1986 ИМЗ УРАЛ 8 (translates as EMZ URAL 8)

This Russian built beast is more commonly seen as a side car.  The orginal weight was about 340kg before a tractor starter motor and car battery was added.

The beautiful young lady was my very dear friend Asya.  I introduced her to motorcycles and she had an instant love of them and we had so much fun on this and the scooter.  On the 16th of July 2006 this bike broke down and Asya come to help me.  She was knocked of the scooter she was riding as she tried to do a U turn on a busy road to reach me. She died there as we waited for the ambulance.  The world lost a very special person that day.  RIP Asya, I will never forget you...

The engine has the 750cc heads fitted.

A spider themed custom paint job.

Even has a radio fitted.  I would like to bring this bike home but shipping from Zaporizhzhia to Auckland appears to be a big problem.

Cyrillic number plate !

And finally another bike from the guys who made my one.

This thing has a car motor in it.  It was a bit hard talking to the guys as my Russian is limited but I think it is a Mazda rotary motor!  And yes they do use this thing on the road!
